Cert II ESI Powerline Vegetation Control & WA CoP Authorised Persons training

Monday 30th September through to Friday 4th October 2024

Interlink is delivering their next Certificate II ESI and CoP Authorised Persons training program from the 22nd of July – 26th of July. This is a five [5] day block of training in which participants commence their Cert II ESI which is delivered in line with the Code of Practice requirements in WA. Mon - Thurs are theory-based sessions delivered at Forrestdale, and Friday is a practical session which will be delivered locally (location will be confirmed prior to the day). A log book is issued at the end of the week, in which participants are required to log 150 hours of work under supervision cutting around Powerlines before they are able to receive their formal certificate.

Attached is a copy of the booking form for this course which outlines the units that are delivered, and which streams are available and at what cost. There is funding available for this qualification under a traineeship, however there are some eligibility criteria so you will need to speak with your AASN to confirm if you are eligible to receive the funding for the Cert II ESI.

To secure a place for this course (places are strictly limited and they do fill up) please complete the attached ESI booking form and email it through to Kat ktipokiariki@interlink.edu.au who will assist with the rest of the enrolment process.

Certificate III in Arboriculture AHC30820

Monday 25th through to Wednesday 27th November 2024

Interlink is commencing a new Certificate III in Arb [apprenticeship] program on the 11th – 12th of July.   This course will be delivered predominately at their Forrestdale site. Streams on offer for this qualification are Climbing, EWP, Environmental or Works Coordinator, with the expected delivery to be 18-24 months.  Off-the-job training of generally 1-3 days will be scheduled approximately every 6-8 weeks.

Interlink does have funded training available for this qualification in WA (which is recognised as a Trade Qualification Apprenticeship in Western Australia), meaning if you sign up your employee/s to an Apprenticeship with a local AASN (such as MEGT) you should be eligible for Government Funded training, which significantly reduces the cost of this qualification for you. As Arborists are on the Priority Skills Shortage list Australia Wide, there may also be additional incentives available to you for signing up an employee to this qualification, which you can discuss with your AASN.

Should you wish to sign up your employees for this new group, please complete the attached Cert III Arb booking form and email it back to Kat ktipokiariki@interlink.edu.au, who will assist with the rest of the enrolment process.  Alternatively if attending Forrestdale is impractical, contact Interlink on [08] 6235-8200 to discuss establishing a course in your region.
